@observer@twtxt.net Governments and their appointed leaders are supposed to do the right think but they also fail sometimes on purpose, sometimes by chance, and sometimes out of mis calculation. The Romans did, The German Weimar republic did, the Ottoman empire did, more recently Argentina and Venezuela, Libya and Lebanon did. Currently Russia and Turkey’s currencies are failing.
As long as we have to trust people to do the right thing this cycle will never end.
