I'm an illustrator so I'm curious how it store images. 2022-10-28T12:04:46Z (#lhndzgq) Fonts looks bit compressed in Windows.
![font](https://imgur.com/wMoJG9n) 2022-10-28T12:08:07Z (#lhndzgq) @ haha sorry it doesn't exist😆 thank you for inviting me 2022-10-28T12:11:06Z (#lhndzgq) @ yeah I checked on macOS and it looks fine, just a windows problem :) Maybe there is a good default somewhere, but if I find it, I'll send out a PR. 2022-10-28T12:16:47Z image post test
![Imgur](https://imgur.com/wMoJG9n.png) 2022-10-28T12:17:31Z (#b6oc3qq) It will be nice if we have preview 2022-10-28T12:20:04Z (#uth747a) @ yes haha, it was so fun that I got a message outside twitter 2022-10-28T12:22:12Z (#b6oc3qq) @ yeah I mean the post UI in twtxt.net. I'll try to add it when I have time. 2022-10-28T12:26:43Z (#uth747a) @ haha imo the best platform is one that allows me to interact with the author 2022-10-28T12:32:58Z (#uth747a) @ Very nice, just wanted to "like" this tweet but i couldn't find it haha 2022-10-28T12:35:37Z (#uth747a) @ agreed, Twitter looks like lost their ui balance because of their ad strategy... 2022-10-28T12:39:32Z (#n3z2znq) @ haha yeah we could simply tell the post author in a reply that we liked their post. 2022-10-28T12:44:00Z (#b6oc3qq) @ nice! definitly useful for visual-content guys! 2022-10-28T12:47:00Z @ ah yes you are right! we don't need preview because we have editing! 2022-10-28T12:51:01Z (#b6oc3qq) or, we can just implement this as undo - a shortcut for editing last post. as darch said, we don't need preview actually 2022-10-28T12:52:32Z (#b6oc3qq) maybe we should keep it 1-step... 2022-10-28T12:55:17Z (#b6oc3qq) @
Yeah, I think simplicity here is important. I'm just not used to the way things are done here, I've been using twitter for almost 10 years now and I don't realize how inconvenient it is. 2022-10-28T13:11:24Z Oh I just realized I can upload images directly on twtxt.net. maybe I can upload movies and audio files also

(#) ![](https://twtxt.net/media/MaH6mPaSqkLgnkeMHsmrXP.mp3) 2022-10-28T13:19:51Z (#umedluq) @ That's a great idea! The thing I hate most about Twitter is the inconsistency of the timeline. They rearrange and hide my and my friends' posts according to their importance. It's so stressful😫 2022-10-28T13:20:48Z (#z2sd2gq) @ Thank you! 2022-10-28T13:21:29Z (#zhco2ca) @ Excellent! Sorry if I overwhelmed your server disk😆 2022-10-28T13:36:30Z (#umedluq) I really like my shit posts but Twitter doesn't🥺 There's a slight chance that Eron Musk feels the same way I do😆
I trust twtxt completely because it is just plain text! 2022-10-28T13:52:27Z (#ytmkyvq) Nice feature! it's useful to try out a bunch of features👍 2022-10-28T13:53:30Z (#lhndzgq) @ thank you! 2022-10-28T17:33:49Z @
hi, do you own git.mills.io? I tried to register as a user, but I don't seem to have received an activation email. 2022-10-28T17:47:04Z (#vnfboya) @ thank you, I tried to register an account using my GitHub account, but it required email verification. Maybe I didn't need to register... 2022-10-28T17:52:03Z (#vnfboya) @ thank you! this is no rush. good night! 2022-10-28T19:10:34Z (#vnfboya) @ now I got activation mail! thank you! 2022-11-05T07:51:25Z I can't imagine 50% layoff.... 2022-11-05T11:49:46Z working on small ui fix:
![](https://twtxt.net/media/EHi7ypaMcTrQXQf7bpug6.png) 2022-11-05T12:42:02Z (#gzwdhfq) @ deported?😅 thanks for your quick merging! 2022-11-05T12:50:20Z (#gzwdhfq) haha I got it😆 2022-11-05T12:58:19Z More and more friends are creating accounts on mastodon, not moved yet though. I had an account on pawoo, mastodon server by pixiv, a long time ago, but that server is closed now. I think portability is a key. 2022-11-05T13:04:58Z (#6lgtzna) Twitter is still an attractive platform for illustrators. But popular illustrators suffer from harassment, and I believe that Twitter's reduction of staff will have a significant negative impact in the long run. 2022-11-05T13:26:27Z 日本語のツイート?もしてみる。いやツイートではないんだよな…。 2022-11-05T15:15:14Z (#6lgtzna) @
I just logged into mastodon and noticed that🤦 2022-11-06T04:49:40Z (#plcs65q) @ haha yeah, I yarned :) 2022-11-06T04:51:10Z (#6lgtzna) @
not sure, maybe adding a drawing feature...? 2022-11-06T06:06:19Z (#buwvcrq) @ No it doesn't :) 2022-11-06T07:29:28Z (#buwvcrq) @ That's exactly what I like about Web 1.0 2022-11-06T07:33:26Z Just a thought, but it might be possible to create a tumblr or tegaki diary clone in twtxt format. Illustrators upload their work to twitter and pixiv, but I think self-hosting has various advantages. 2022-11-06T07:38:51Z (#mo4espq) @ yeah actually. I think there is room for a dedicated Web UI for artwork 2022-11-06T07:47:58Z (#mo4espq) @
I would have to create a new tool like yarn, but I guess it would be like creating a CMS that using twtxt format.
or just create a view that fetches twtxt from yarn and displays it like a portfolio. 2022-11-06T07:51:24Z (#mo4espq) @ Yeah exactly 2022-11-07T09:20:30Z (#mo4espq) @ It would be good to make a gallery view like darch is talking about. Also, it would be nice to be able to post images by pasting from the clipboard, although this is trivial. 2022-11-07T09:21:03Z (#mo4espq) @ nice! 2022-11-07T10:26:05Z (#mo4espq) @ I think it will be a custom profile view 2022-11-11T12:47:39Z (#mo4espq) @
I'm not sure but maybe like this.
 ![](https://twtxt.net/media/xQL77HRo2PpjBPYbLLYsJc.png)
I think @ has a better idea of the layout of the portfolio.

At this point I'm thinking it would be better to render portfolios on an external server with yarn as the data source. I think it's still a small number of users who want portfolio functionality in yarn and they might want to customize their view. 2022-11-11T13:05:56Z writing twtxt parser in deno but copilot suggested whole parse function, oh my god

![](https://twtxt.net/media/r6v9ci4d8GcqTiRnvqGPFC.png) 2022-11-11T13:12:05Z (#n6hmfdq) It looks like copliot already knows what is twtxt. but hmm I should find how to make reply tree and do some regex thing 2022-11-11T13:23:38Z (#n6hmfdq) Ah gotcha

https://git.mills.io/yarnsocial/yarn/src/branch/main/docs/_posts/2020-12-11-twthashextension.md 2022-11-11T14:31:56Z (#n6hmfdq) I wrote a deno version of hash calculation code

https://gist.github.com/hashrock/e003c7f023bfced46d97170e02ef65ae 2022-11-11T15:06:47Z Created simple portfolio powered with twtxt.net and Deno deploy. It's so sketchy for now🤦

Demo : https://hashrock-twtxt-gallery.deno.dev/
Source: https://dash.deno.com/playground/hashrock-twtxt-gallery 2022-11-11T15:14:09Z (#35bnlha) Hmm, I can't see edit / delete button in my another feed 2022-11-11T16:30:05Z (#35bnlha) @ Deno is a reworked version of Node.js and they are my current employer😋 2022-11-11T16:31:34Z (#n6hmfdq) @ Great! It's always fun to learn about data formats 2022-11-11T17:26:36Z (#35bnlha) @ mainly illustrations but I also write some code for frontend. It's fun working for an OSS company 2022-11-12T03:41:01Z (#35bnlha) @ this feed
https://twtxt.net/user/hashrock-gallery/twtxt.txt 2022-11-12T03:49:19Z (#mo4espq) @ A square grid as you have shown seems to be a better UX. I also like the view after clicking on an image. 2022-11-12T03:51:26Z (#mo4espq) @ yeah, I guess it would be like simply filtering markdown image notation with regex? 2022-11-12T04:13:02Z (#mo4espq) @ It will be awesome! 2022-11-12T06:41:55Z (#mo4espq) @ yeah i will! 2022-11-12T07:33:34Z (#pfuhzpa) @ haha just use `npm` instead 2022-11-21T06:01:26Z (#hhxkqdq) looks great! 2022-11-21T07:43:27Z (#ym74jaa) @ Haha, the current front-end JS ecosystem is too huge and slow to install. I still like just plain HTML + small JS for UI tweaks. At Deno company I work for, we have some people who don’t like node_modules and are working on a replacement for Node.js
