I’m using webmentions.io. I can pull them with no trouble. The point is to show them. And I’m using indiekit which already have Twitter integration. I use brid.gy to syndicate back instagram/twitter.

Also FWIW the existing behaviour doesn’t scale anymore anyway… So it’s probably time to rethink it anyhow 🤔 – It often causes noise if you actually happen to follow the @twtxt bot like I do (mostly just to see who has joined my pod and to greet them)

Mkws is great the way it is, and pp is genius. The only reason why I don’t use it for my own site is because I can’t figure out how to escape the required characters in an elegant way before files are sent to pp. The best parts of mkws are the simplicity and the ability to tweak the script for your use case. Putting everything in one binary or adding a bunch of extra features like a web server would add unnecessary complication.
