@felixp7@twtxt.net Imagine if you wanted to read Lord of the Rings, a text of monstrous proportions already, and were told that in order to make any sense of the story you had to stop on every page and peruse an encyclopedia ten times as big. Which in turn requires familiarity with the whole genre.
