they may not see your replies!

I am so quiet it is, almost, as if I am not here.

In-reply-to > So on Friday I will be giving a talk and workshop on twtxt and yarn.social at Aalborg University in Copenhagen. Ironically it is only being promoted on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/2791193627840528

@darch pretty neat! Is the workshop going to be videoed? If so, please follow up later with a link, so we can take a look!

In-reply-to > The “Recent…” header font is too big:

You also used a slightly older template to modify, as @prologic had changed the anonymous profile not to show non-sensical information. The screenshot above is me browsing anonymously in your site. The “does not follows you”, the follow icon, and the block/report do not make sense for anonymous users.

In-reply-to > @prologic It is new, the domain has been registered for about a month now and left the testing phase yesterday, when the records were updated to the correct site, so it might take some time to get to the other servers. But it already WorksForMe TM. And yes, you should absolutely start your own, because I think that if you run it for some time you get the right to claim your own too level, so you could make ".yarn" a thing, or something else that you'd like.

@thecanine alrighty, have fun! 🐩😊

This is as good as anyone setting up their own DNS, and using whatever they want 😂. It is rather worthless.

I do something similar with WireGuard (.wg TLD) for all my WireGuard connected hosts.

In-reply-to > @lyse LOL 😂 -- No, apparently these guys come around every 2-3yrs to check the Fire hydrants in every location. We must have missed the last one 😅 Friendly guys, even gave our girls stickers and everything and showed me where our nearest Fire hydrants is in our street! 👌

@prologic in the States we use a blue reflector on the road (same as those used to divide lanes, but instead of yellow they are blue) to signify a fire hydrant. So, you see the blue reflector, and look at the side, and you will see a fire hydrant.

In-reply-to > Does anyone know if there's a way to Blur Faces on an iPhone on-device without sending any data off to some random privacy eroding garbage services? Is there a builtin way to do this or an App that can do this on-device? 🤔

@prologic auto blur, or pixelate? I don’t know if any tool that will automatically do it. There are plenty of editors which will allow you to do it manually. Pixelmator comes to mind, but there are plenty more.

As I have no use for it, I don’t know which will send data to a server or not.

In-reply-to > What are everyones thoughts on the 'me' appearing on feeds instead of the username? Perhaps we could have an indicator that this feed is actually you. And perhaps also we could have another indicator to state that the user is from your own pod too?

@ullarah right, but the icon isn’t needed, as the full nick is telling whether user is local or not.

@ullarah I rather see the full username (with @ in it), as it also denotes whether the user is in own pod or not.

In-reply-to > Currently going through all my music collection after quite some time again. Oh man, what crap had accumulated there? Issuing rm commands…

😂😂😂 I know I might sound philosophical, but we own nothing. We borrow things for a, rather short, period of time.

I know many people prefer local, offline access to music and videos; and that some prefer to buy both on physical media. As the complete opposite, I rather use the clouds for that. If they are not available due to any reason, I go and smell the flowers 😊.

In-reply-to > Thinner, maybe, I’m looking into that font compiling at some stage. The labels are the same size as the nav bar on desktop. Again, on mobile, I increased them a little bit otherwise they’re a bit on the small side.

@ullarah on this template, I would remove the “Recent twt from …”. I think it is redundant. For external profile nicks it will wrap and be too big too.
